Miriam Stolwijk
PhD candidate
Miriam has a background in Clinical and Health Psychology (M.Sc.). After finishing her studies in 2016 at Utrecht University, she worked as a project officer and researcher in the social services. Since June 2019, she has been working as a PhD candidate at Low Vision Research. Her research focuses on optimizing referral pathways to low vision services, which includes a qualitative study, big data cohort studies and a survey study. Miriam hopes that her doctoral research will have a valuable contribution to the ophthalmic practice and will help to improve the quality of care for people with a visual impairment.
