Hilde van der Aa

Senior researcher

Hilde van der Aa is a senior researcher at the department of Ophthalmology. She has a background in epidemiology (MSc), public health (MSc) and social work (BSc). In 2016 she obtained her doctorate at the VU University Medical Center with her dissertation “Depression and anxiety in visually impaired older adults: cost-effectiveness of stepped-care”. Hilde is a project leader of various studies as well as research coordinator at the Robert Coppes Stichting and supervisor of PhD students and students at Amsterdam UMC.
